Learning Objectives
The 7th grade Mathematics course aims to deepen the study of rational numbers, develop algebraic thinking through expressions and equations, expand geometric reasoning and strengthen the understanding of proportionality, percentage, quantities, measures and statistics.
The student will be encouraged to analyze problem situations, formulate resolution strategies, use different mathematical languages and argue based on properties and relationships, in line with the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC) and with the external evaluation matrices.

Alignment with External Evaluations (SAEB)
The contents and skills developed in this course are aligned with the SAEB Reference Matrices for the Final Years of Elementary School, with emphasis on the axes of Numbers and Operations, Algebra, Geometry, Quantities and Measures and Information Treatment, contributing to the consolidation of learning evaluated on a large scale and to the academic progression of the student.
Consolidation for SAEB – 9th grade
| BNCC – 7th year | Skill developed | Connection with SAEB |
|---|---|---|
| EF07MA02 | Operations with rational numbers | Evaluated in SAEB |
| EF07MA08 | Ratio and Ratio | Contextualized problems |
| EF07MA10 | Percentage | Strong incidence in SAEB |
| EF07MA18 | Simple algebraic expressions | Algebra |
| EF07MA24 | Data analysis and graphs | Processing of information |
This course is aligned with the BNCC and develops structuring mathematical skills that progressively prepare the student for the competencies evaluated by SAEB in the subsequent stages of Elementary School.
